This one was a little different, from running around making sure other couples had had their perfect day, it was our turn to celebrate OUR wedding, in a venue that we had built with our own bare hands from the ground up. When we first got engaged our friends often asked us if we were going to get married at KirstenVale or if it was going to be too stressful? Our response “well duh!”. We had the most surreal day surrounded by our family, friends and fur creatures. Our team was absolutely incredible and took the reins giving us the opportunity to relax and enjoy our day to the full. We chose to have our wedding under the acacia trees, followed by delicious canapes and garden games at the reception venue lawn, a scrumptious family style potjie feast prepared by my very special and talented sister who owns Chef n Thyme (how lucky am I!), heartfelt speeches and A LOT of dancing. We topped the weekend of festivities off by taking advantage of the public holiday and had a relaxed day at the river where we were able to spend some quality time with friends and family that had travelled from far. It was so special for both of us to not only celebrate our marriage, but to also share the KirstenVale journey with our nearest and dearest.
